It’s been more than 100 days since my last post.
It’s a tragedy to note that the last of my profitable aff campaigns have gone up in smoke over the last few weeks and that my next aff pay check is less than 4 figures.
Such is what happens when you manage a day job, an agency, and an affiliate marketing business – as a one man show – the one leg which involves the least accountability (guess which?) would have to fall.
Fortunately, not all is lost.
The agency side of the business has been growing consistently, and I’ll be making another attempt at hiring an accounts executive in the next couple weeks. Hopefully things work out this time round.
At the day job, I’ve also been putting systems in place to make my personal intervention minimal. I have alot of freedom in deciding how things are done, which is a very good thing indeed.
Finally, I made one last attempt at getting a designer for EpicSkillz.com in December. And yes, it failed again. I thought hiring an American instead of my usual Filipinos and Indians would make a difference, but unfortunately the guy disappeared without a trace again and I thought I’d just save the hassle and really do it myself this time.
I’ve read a couple books from Smashing Magazine and brushed up a little on CSS, so I guess I can at least make the blog look presentable, and then I’ll just forget about the design and dive head in building campaigns and getting back to writing consistently!
As of this writing, this is how the blog looks.
R.I.P, old look.
I’m going to continue the site re-design by arming myself with this ghetto piece of sophistication.
Let’s see what damage I can do.
